RADAR Technology

The Problem:
Various areas on Earth are covered by clouds for most of the year, and have difficult weather conditions that hamper conventional optical remote sensing methods from being applied successfully.

The Solution:
Active remote sensing such as RADAR (RAdio Detection And Ranging) allows cloud penetration, weather independence and a built-in source of energy ("illumination") that allows day and night remote sensing at high ground resolution.
